Chinese Calligraphy: A Practice in Patience and Calm

Heritage Level 7 students are learning the traditional art of Chinese calligraphy. After repeatedly practicing proper brush grip, inking, and stroke posture, they put brush to paper for the first time this week.

Calligraphy is not only a wonderful way to build concentration and improve stroke accuracy—it can also be a remarkably relaxing experience. As one student noted, it is a great way to slow down, focus, and simply enjoy the moment.

We are so proud of our students for embracing this beautiful tradition and look forward to seeing their confidence and creativity grow with every stroke!

七年級傳統班學生們正在學習華人傳統藝術—書法。經過反覆練習正確的握筆方式、蘸墨技巧以及書寫姿勢後，這星期他們第一次正式提筆落紙，親自體驗毛筆書寫的樂趣。

書法不僅能培養專注力、提升筆畫的準確度，也是一種令人感到非常放鬆的體驗。正如一位學生所說，書法也讓人能夠放慢腳步、專心當下，享受這段寧靜的時光。

我們很為學生們勇於嘗試、用心體驗這項美好的傳統文化而感到驕傲，也期待看見他們在一筆一畫中，持續累積自信與創意！
