Pre-School Chinese
國語幼幼班
3:45 - 4:45pm
ages 3-5
三至五歲
This one-hour class is designed for preschool-aged children. It is a fun, parent-and-child introduction to Mandarin through songs, games, and interactive activities. This class takes place after our regular language class time. A parent or guardian must attend with the child.
本課程為一小時，專為學齡前幼兒設計。透過唱歌、遊戲及互動活動，讓親子在輕鬆愉快的氣氛中認識中文。課程安排於語言課程時段後進行。家長或監護人須全程陪同參與。
Heritage Level Classes (HLC)
傳統班
1:30 - 3:45pm
ages 5+
五歲以上
This course is suitable for both native Mandarin speakers and native English speakers who are interested in experiencing an immersive Mandarin environment. The curriculum emphasizes the comprehensive development of pronunciation, listening, speaking, reading, and writing, while fostering an immersive learning setting.
Levels: Phonetics (Zhuyin/Pinyin) and Levels 1–10
本課程適合中文母語者與願意嘗試「沈浸式中文」的英語母語者。課程強調在沉浸式的學習環境中練習發音、聽、說、讀、寫之全面發展。

Chinese as a Foreign Language (CFL)
中文第二外語班

ages 5+

This course is designed for native English speakers who have completed one year of a foundational phonetics course. It focuses on everyday conversation, with an emphasis on pronunciation, listening, speaking, and reading in Mandarin.
Levels: CFL Basic and CFL Advanced
課程設計適合英語母語者，並且已完成一年的「發音班課程」。此課程以「日常會話」為主，強調中文的發音、聽、說、讀。

Adult Conversation Classes
成人會話班

This course is designed for native English speakers. It focuses on everyday conversation, with an emphasis on pronunciation, listening, speaking, and reading in basic Mandarin.
課程設計適合英語母語者。此課程以「日常會話」為主，強調基礎中文的發音、聽、說、讀。
Extracurriculars
Immerse yourself in cultural activities after language class!
Join our 1-hour extracurricular class for engaging, immersive cultural experiences. Class offerings include Chinese Yo-Yo (Diabolo), Go (Board Game) and Taekwondo. These enrichment classes provide students with a fun and interactive way to deepen their cultural understanding beyond the language classroom.
Fusion Dance will not be offered this school year due to dance instructor availability.
一小時的課後活動讓學生在輕鬆有趣的環境中體驗多元文化。
班級： 扯鈴課, 圍棋課, 跆拳道課,手作文化體驗課課. 透過這些課後活動，學生能以生動有趣的方式，在中文課堂之外進一步體驗與認識文化。

Immerse yourself in the dynamic world of Mandarin Chinese with our diverse class offerings designed for all ages and proficiency levels. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced learner, our instructors are here to help you improve your language skills and cultural understanding.
Curriculum
Our learning materials are ordered through Taipei Economic & Cultural Office. The course materials are primarily based on “Let’s Learn Mandarin” with a focus on Traditional Chinese characters. Students in the pronunciation class learn both Zhuyin (Bopomofo) and the Pinyin system simultaneously.
以台北經濟文化辦事處所提供的教材「學華語向前走」為主，其他教材資源為輔。字體以繁體字為主。發音班學生同時學習注音與拼音系統。
School Year
There are two semesters a year – Fall and Spring. Classes take place on Sundays from 1:30-3:45pm.
There is no summer semester.
Tuition
Tuition is per semester.
Language Classes: $210
Extracurriculars: $70
Preschool Class: $100
Cultural Activities
Extracurricular activities are a 1-hour class from 3:45 - 4:45 PM after language classes end. This year we offer Chinese Yo-Yo 扯鈴, Go Board Game 圍棋 and Taekwondo 跆拳道.
Our students then have an opportunity to perform at events around Kansas City, such as Nelson Atkins' Lunar New Year celebrations.
How to Get Involved
The Parent Teacher Committee (PTC) invites you to join PTC events, check out a meeting, meet fellow parents, and volunteer where you can. We believe that we can achieve this together.
Our Organization
We are a 501(c) non-profit organization. Our school depends on the efforts of our parents and staff volunteers.
Through the school year, we also hold fundraisers to keep the school running.
Our Staff & Board
The members of the Board supervise the school administration and decide major policies. The admin staff also manages the routine operations and is formed by parent volunteers. If you would like to join the board, please email or find one of us at school.
