Celebrating Partnership: Connecting Students Through Language and Service

We had the honor of attending Lee’s Summit School District’s National Chinese Honor Society (NCHS) induction ceremony recently. It was truly inspiring to see students recognized for their dedication to Chinese language learning, cultural understanding, and community service.

For nearly eight years, the partnership between the Chinese School of Greater Kansas City and Lee’s Summit School District has created meaningful opportunities for students to connect through language, culture, volunteerism, and leadership. Through this collaboration, high school students have served as volunteer teacher assistants, helping younger students explore Mandarin Chinese and Chinese culture while also developing valuable leadership and teaching skills of their own.

We are incredibly grateful for the continued support from Lee’s Summit School District and for all of the dedicated student volunteers who have helped strengthen this partnership over the years. Together, we are building bridges across cultures and inspiring the next generation of global learners and leaders.

近八年來，大堪薩斯市中文學校（CSGKC）與 Lee’s Summit School District 的合作，為學生們創造了許多透過語言、文化、志工服務與領導力建立連結的寶貴機會。透過這項合作，高中學生擔任志工教師助理，協助年幼學生認識中文與中華文化，同時也培養了自己的領導與教學能力。

我們非常感謝 Lee’s Summit School District 長期以來的支持，也感謝所有多年來投入服務的學生志工，持續促進這份珍貴的合作關係。透過共同努力，我們不僅搭起文化交流的橋樑，也啟發下一代成為具有國際視野的學習者與領導者。
