Celebrating a Wonderful School Year

2025–2026 End-of-Year Ceremony

On April 26, our Chinese School of Greater Kansas City community came together to celebrate the end of another wonderful school year. We enjoyed a slideshow featuring highlights from the past year, thoughtfully prepared by our amazing PTC Chair, Ms. Becky Yan.

Director of Curriculum, Ms. Grace Huang and Principal Ms. Patricia Hoover, then opened the ceremony with a warm welcome, followed by special recognition of our dedicated board members, staff, and teachers whose hard work helps our school thrive every Sunday.

We were honored to hear special ceremony remarks from Board Chair Dr. Sam Yang, current student Ms. Evelyn Christopher, who shared her language-learning journey and recent trip to China, and graduating seniors Ms. Carmen Tang and Ms. Ellie Piezuch, who reflected on their experiences from preschool through high school.

Another special highlight was recognizing our teachers across Chinese classes, Preschool, Taekwondo, and Go Board, yoyo and dance coaches, as well as celebrating our college-bound students, teaching assistants, volunteers, and parent supporters who make our programs so successful.

We were also proud to celebrate students with Perfect Attendance for the entire 2025–2026 school year—an inspiring testament to their dedication and commitment. One of the most touching moments was when all students stood together, said “謝謝爸爸媽媽” (“Thank you, Mom and Dad”), and bowed to their parents in appreciation.

The ceremony concluded with pizza, lemonade and brownies from PTC, refreshments, and joyful time spent together as a school family. Thank you to all our students, families, teachers, and volunteers for making this year so special. Wishing everyone a happy and restful summer break—we look forward to seeing you again during our Back-to-School Picnic in August!

2025–2026 結業典禮回顧

4月26日，大堪薩斯市中文學校全體師生與家長齊聚一堂，共同慶祝又一個充實而美好的學年圓滿落幕。我們一同欣賞了由家長會（PTC) Becky Yan 精心製作的回顧影片，重溫過去一年中的珍貴時刻。

黃教務主任與賀校長為典禮揭開序幕，帶來溫馨致詞，並表揚辛勤付出的董事會成員、教職員與老師們，正是因為他們的努力，讓學校在每個星期日持續茁壯成長。

典禮中，我們榮幸邀請董事會主席楊醫師、在校學生 Evelyn Christopher 分享她的語言學習歷程與近期中國之行的體驗，以及即將畢業的學生 Carmen Tang 與 Ellie Piezuch，回顧她們自幼幼班至高中在中文學校的學習點滴。

活動的令一大亮點，是表揚各班老師（中文課程、幼幼班、跆拳道、圍棋）、扯鈴與舞蹈教練，以及即將升讀大學的學生、助教、志工與家長們。正是大家的付出，讓學校的各項課程與活動得以成功推展。

我們同時表揚了在2025–2026學年全勤的學生們，肯定他們的堅持與努力。其中最感人的一刻，是全體學生一同站起來，齊聲說出「謝謝爸爸媽媽」，並向家長鞠躬致意，表達深深的感謝。

典禮最後在披薩與家長會親手準備的茶點中圓滿結束，大家共享歡樂時光。感謝所有學生、家長、老師與志工，讓這一年如此精彩而難忘。祝大家暑假愉快，期待在八月的開學前野餐活動再次相見！
