Our ninth grade class got to apply their writing skills to the next level in a special calligraphy activity. The students each prepared a classical Chinese poem and used a brush to write it on rice paper. They also applied their imagination to create brush illustrations, resulting in works that are both highly creative and rich with a traditional, classical charm. These works were also submitted to the school’s art contests, offering a meaningful opportunity to cultivate character and creativity—truly accomplishing two goals at once.
